Pumpkin Fun!

Last Sunday we took Ryleigh on her very first visit to the pumpkin patch. She didn't really know what to think at first, but when she realized she could take a pumpkin home she got pretty excited. It was really windy, so I didn't get any really great pictures, but here is one.

She had the best time looking at the pumpkins and picking out 2 that she could actually hold.

When we got home, I decided that we could have a little fun with one of her pumpkins. So I got our my markers and some of my scrapbooking supplies. I laid a mat out in the living room and I let Ryleigh go to town decorating her pumpkin. I don't think I have ever seen her set so still. She was so careful and she made sure she used every color. We even cut out some shapes and I let her glue them on. To top it off, we tied a bow on the pumpkin. After all...everything must have a bow these days!

Maybe I have an artist on my hands!

Here she is giving her finished pumpkin a big kiss. It made the perfect fall center piece for our kitchen counter. Thanks Baby Girl!
