10 Months Old

I can't believe my baby is 10 months old today. This has been an extremely eventful month for my daughter. Here are the highlights:

1. Ryleigh weaned herself from nursing at the beginning of January. I think it was harder on mommy than her. She is now a straight formula baby! It is sad, but it sure makes life a bit easier...and a bit more expensive.

2. Ryleigh is no longer on her pacifier. It has now been 2 weeks and she doesn't even remember it. It was actually a pretty smooth transition. I am glad we did it now instead of waiting until she is older.

3. Ryleigh is cruisin'! She can get just about anywhere she wants on her little feet...and I do mean little feet. I don't know how they will hold her up when she starts walking. She spends most of her time walking around the couch or around the kitchen table. She loves walking. I know it won't be long before she is doing it all by herself!

4. Ryleigh has been sick. We made it through the first 8 months pretty free from illness. But in the last month she has had 2 ear infections. They weren't bad, but it wasn't much fun. At her last visit to the doctor, she was up to 20 pounds and 26 inches long. She sure has come along way since 7 pounds 6 ounces and 19 inches long. What a big girl!

5. Ryleigh is cutting teeth. She officially has 3 teeth now. Two on the bottom and one on the top. She is still cutting 3 more right now. It is not very fun, but she is handling it well.

6. Ryleigh is eating all big girl food! My little angel wants nothing to do with baby food at all. In fact, she wants nothing to do with us feeding her. She is Miss Independent! She eats tons of finger foods and she just loves it. The newest addition to her diet is Graham Crackers...yum!

So there you have it! Ryleigh did a lot of growning up this month. Here are a few pictures from the month. Enjoy!
Ryleigh loves her books!

Bathtime is a blast now. She finally has enough hair where mommy and daddy can a little fun of our own!

Laundry time has become a source of much pleasure in our house these days. We are doing well to get anything folded right now.

Check out those thunder thighs! She comes by those all natural!

she is adorable! I am so proud that you nursed for 10 months. That in itself is amazing and I hope to be able to do it with my second child. Also with the pacifier- we are dreading it at 2years old- miss you girl! take care.
