Thanksgiving this year was very special. This was the first time since Brian and I have been married that we were able to go to Missouri. Usually we are busy with football playoffs, but this year we didn't make it as far as we normally do in the playoffs so we were able to hit the road to see our family. We we arrived early Wednesday morning and stayed until lunchtime on Saturday. It was great to see everyone and spend some time together. We helped Mema put up her Christmas tree, and Ryleigh got to spend the night with her cousins. She is still talking about that. We even got to see some snow while we were there. It wasn't much, but is sure made it feel much more like Thanksgiving. We celebrated Christmas while we were there since we will be at my parents this year. All in all the trip was great!
Here is Ryleigh with her cousins! I love this picture. If you can't tell, she was so excited to see them and play with her special cousin Taylor. They are like two peas in a pod.
While we were there, we couldn't miss the opportunity to get Ryleigh's picture taken with Santa at Bass Pro Shop. They always have a beautiful Santa display. We got her all dressed, and were on our way. As you can see, she was all smiled until it was our turn. She doesn't like Santa at all, and she wasn't going to sit with him or tell him what she wanted. After we bribed her with a cherry limeade from Sonic, she agreed, but she wasn't happy about it. Hey...at least she tried!
Here she is in front of Mema's pretty tree all dressed up.
